Welcome to the world of social media! This is where today’s society is often living their lives online for a vast audience. Social networks allow individuals to find and connect with just about anyone and it has the effect of making an individual feel connected to a larger community. For more than two decades, social media has played a huge role in today’s society and is a tool used by many as a form of communication. With the larger topic being social networking, our group will be focusing on how social media impacts and influences individuals. Social networking may impact our lives in many ways, including: our communication, appearance, industries, markets, trends, news, youth, and even movements. There is no doubt that social media has changed the way we interact with one another and has transformed the way information is provided and received. This virtual can and does inspire and influence many people all around the world. However, we tend to forget that not all influence is created equal.
Our group has decided to start a Instagram page to share our findings and raise awareness on our specialty topics. Since we are researching social media, there is no better way to share our findings than using social networking apps! There you may find daily informative posts, photos, and short videos filled with information we have learned. We strive to open the minds of our audience and show them a new perspective of the variety of ways that social media impacts society, whether it’s good or bad!
